A simple and delicious salmon dish with a lemon butter sauce

This dish is one of my favorite recipes to make for a special occasion. It is always a hit with my family and friends. I first came across it at a dinner party I attended at a friend's house. Everyone at the table raved about it and I knew I had to learn how to make it myself. I asked my friend for the recipe and have been making it ever since. I love to serve it with a side of roasted vegetables and a light salad. It's always a hit!

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 4 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the lemon juice and parsley and stir to combine.
  • Remove the salmon from the oven and brush with the lemon butter sauce.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sides.
