I first had Crispy Potato Wedges when I was a child. My mother would make them for dinner every now and then, and they were always a hit. I remember the smell of the potatoes frying in the pan and the way the wedges were so golden and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I still make them today, and they always bring back fond memories of my childhood.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (2.2 lbs/1 kg)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400?F (200?C).
  • Scrub the potatoes and cut them into wedges. Place the wedges in a large bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Sprinkle with the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the wedges out on a baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
